Coventry Carol

A 16th century English Christmas Carol. Somehow adapting the old-world harmonization to the ukulele was quite an interesting challenge. Played on my good old Brüko No.6, which turns out to be a great fit for early music!

Tedesca dita l’Austria

A wonderful harpsichord piece of the Renaissance composer Marco Facoli. Amazing how nicely it plays with the ukulele.

Ihr Kinderlein, kommet

Another solo arrangement of an old German Christmas carol. A simple version of it is available in the free e-book “Solo Ukulele für Einsteiger”.

Dances from Terpsichore: 268: Ballet

One of the many pieces from Michael Praetorius’ collection called Terpsichore.

Seikilos’ tune

One of the oldest tunes known to mankind. It was found on an ancient greek stele. Wikipedia: Seikilos epitaph Works nicely with the ukulele IMHO.

Es kommt ein Schiff, geladen

A little solo arrangement of an old German Christmas carol. A simple version of it is available in the free e-book “Solo Ukulele für Einsteiger”.

Choan Gálvez: Lullabies for astronauts — Nana para Eva

The pieces from Choan Gálvez’ e-book are fun to play, and the musical typesetting is really nice too!

Captain O’Kane

Another wonderful celtic harp piece, composed by the blind irish harp player Turlough O’Carolan. His unique melodic style has a very renaissance-like feel to me! So I hid a little bit of renaissance music within this arrangement. Do you recognize it?

The Seas Are Deep

A fascinating piece from the blind harp player Turlough O’Carolan. Played on my Brüko No.6.
